So today we had a piece we most of us are very familiar with a long mental, conditioning piece Mikkos Triangle. A 40min emom (every min on the min), where we pick a cal on each machine we use and try to keep the same cal on every round we do. Making sure we do not drop the effort or gameplan
"Mikko's Triangle" Benchmark WOD
A challenging target for Rx-level athletes is 20 calories per minute for each station. Set a target and complete that number of calories each minute through the entire workout (39 minutes not counting the last 1-minute rest). Score is the total # of cals completed (for example, if 20 calories per minute, athlete completes 600 total calories for the entire workout). This benchmark WOD was designed by 2009 CrossFit Games Champion, Mikko Salo, as part of his online training program
We started with everyone getting a warm up, but also a game plan on how to attack this workout in the best way for them to feel achieved. Then giving them time to breath before getting into this workout, it was a quick 3..2…1 go. Getting everyone a time frame of 45sec to get there cal in on each machine and round, also having 15sec to get that transition over and ready on that next cal target
Great work today guys getting that fight and mental toughness much better, being able to attack anything we at verftet will throw at you
